Getting Started with Oil Painting

A beginner's course that deals with the basic questions of choosing colours, brushes, canvasses, boards and preparing surfaces. Some colour theory and mixing exercises will enable the student to understand the palette and get started with painting from still life in the studio. Various techniques will be discussed, though the emphasis for this course will be Alla Prima (in one go) painting. All materials necessary to complete the course are provided.
