Exploring Colour with Oils

Oil paints have been used by major painters over many centuries - and have never been surpassed for both richness and subtlety. Realising the potential of this exciting medium raises many questions. How does tone relate to colour? What are warm colours and cool colours? Through experimental practice over the three days of this, our first workshop devoted to oil painting, students will find the answers to these and many other questions. All materials and equipment necessary to complete this course are provided.
